Licensing
South – Van Events is fully licensed & insured to provide catering & related services to the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky, including Alcoholic Beverage Service.
Event Sites
South – Van Events is among the "preferred" caterers at the most popular event sites in the area. If your site requires copies of our licensing or certificate of insurance, our office will be happy to supply the needed documentation.
Sales Tax
South – Van must collect Kentucky 6% sales tax on all items, with the exception of labor/staffing charges that are itemized on the invoice. Many clients may be exempt from this tax; all that is required is a copy of your tax-exempt certificate on file with our office.
Deposits, Billing and Payments
Unless other arrangements are made with our office, South – Van requires a non refundable 25% advance payment to hold the date & time of your event, with the balance due on or before the date of your event. Established corporate or government clients will receive direct billing on a NET 14 basis. South – Van accepts checks & major credit cards.
Guaranteed Number of Guests
All proposals & contracts are based on the clients "expected number of guests". A final guaranteed number of guests would be requested 4 business days prior to your event. This is the number of guests that South – Van will prepare for & invoice for. After the "4 day" guaranteed number of guests, your count may increase, but not decrease.
Sub-Contractors
If South – Van Events employs the services of sub-contractors at the clients direction, unless other arrangements are made, the billing from that sub-contractor will be direct billed to the client, and will not be the responsibility of South – Van Events.
